…works a little differently! We don't ask you to rotate through different teams or departments - unless you'd like to! Once welcomed to a team, you take on responsibility and contribute to the delivering of commercial software products, and begin to help make a real world impact. Our products range from scheduling and optimisation to 3D modelling software, to specialist operations software. By learning where your strengths align within Deswik, you can quickly build your capabilities and develop your future.
 Our graduate program also has a clear pathway to be promoted to a mid-level role, with support from your manager, mentor, and HR team. Our L&D platform is available for you to access to realise your potential.

Your day to day…
…varies depending on the projects and work you’re involved in. What you can expect are the following, no matter what:

• Write code and automated tests to implement new features and maintain existing systems
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies and processes, this includes planning meetings, stand-ups, showcases, retrospectives
• Assist with drafting scoping documents and creating as-built documentation
• Contribute to commercial products, gaining real world experience
• Work alongside and be mentored by our 90+ software development experts

What happens when you hit apply?

1. Your resume, cover letter and transcript will get reviewed by one of our HR team.
   Quick tip: tell us something interesting about YOU in your cover letter. Did you go overseas for a month during university? Did you move house 17 times in your childhood, and developed a knack for making new friends because of it? Is bouldering or bike riding or learning a language or playing an instrument your idea of fun? Did you get frustrated with a simple problem you were having and coded a solution to it on your GitHub? Tell us something you haven’t already told us on your resume!
2. If your resume matches the skills we are searching for, you will be asked to complete an online capability assessment.
3. After completing the assessment, you may receive a call from one of our HR team. After a chat, they may book you into a first interview, in person at our Brisbane office.
4. Next stage is a code test, in person in our Brisbane office.
5. Our final stage is an in-person interview in the Brisbane office, where you will have a chance to meet and interact with your prospective team and ask any final questions you may have.
